diamond baked arabic macaroni

Ingredients

  • 4 T butter/oil
  • 1 1/2 chopped onions
  • 900g mince
  • 500g macaroni (half cooked)
  • 1/2 C grated cheese
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cans chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic

Method

Heat/melt the oil/butter in large skillet. Saute the onions and garlic. Add meat, salt, pepper and cinnamon. Saute 15 mins. Place half cooked macaroni in dish. Add meat mixture & mix. Add tomatoes. Top with cheese. Bake at 175 deg celcius for 30 mins; add little water if dry.
